what’s up?

andrew jarek wears a lot of hats. he started his professional career planning and managing large scale events. throughout high school and college, he worked as a nurse with developmentally disabled adults before pivoting to executive assistance for private clients. he briefly worked as an Executive Secretarial Assistant for the Order of Saint Augustine while attending Villanova University’s School of Business. at the age of 19, became a licensed REALTOR®. simultaneously, he formed his first LLC and founded a valet trash company, building its operating model from the ground up.

at the age of 20, andrew was diagnosed with a vertebral bone tumor that almost claimed his life. three weeks post-op, determined to live a better life, he moved across the country and transferred to the University of San Francisco’s McLaren School of Management. in recognition of his achievements, he received the Dean's Excellence in Management Award upon conferral, graduating summa cum laude with a BSBA in Business Management.

andrew is a skilled pianist with 20 years of experience and a versatile, all-court competitive tennis professional with 10 years of experience. he supports a holistic approach to wellness centered on nutrition, functional strength training, and conscious living. in his free time, he volunteers working with under-resourced youth throughout multiple nonprofit organizations in the Bay Area. he is skilled in crisis management, career coaching, emotional and cultural intelligence, complex data analysis, evidence-based practice, and the creation of adaptive improvement plans for mission-driven organizations. he prides himself on inspiring change in the lives of others through organizing and executing targeted philanthropic initiatives, most notably for disability advocacy and advancement groups. he is professionally trained in Microsoft & Google Suite, Salesforce CRM, SQL, Tableau, Emma Email Marketing, Asana Implementation, and GiveCampus. he is skilled in end-to-end video production & optimization.

andrew grew up amid significant instability and hardship at home. he served as the primary caregiver for his paraplegic mother and began working as a dishwasher at the age of 15. amidst this adversity, andrew was selected for leadership and educational programs on scholarship, participating in both domestic and international experiences. he attended public high school in rural Pennsylvania, where he served as president of his school’s NCL LifeSmarts chapter and vice president of his graduating class, among numerous other philanthropic and meritorious distinctions.

andrew spent much of his youth organizing grassroots fundraising efforts to make school experiences more accessible. his early work included service and retail positions before expanding into the design of professional home theater solutions in San Francisco. he later served as a core member of the team responsible for transforming and reopening Gap’s flagship Chestnut Street store, regularly working with Gap Inc.’s Global Leadership Team and supporting private events for senior executives and other prominent guests.

his work ethic is rooted in contextualizing and dismantling the cycle of poverty.
